I have desperately been needing to add some new photos around the place, so when I heard about The Pinterest Challenge I knew I had to jump on board. I have been saving jars for several months now and I have been itching to do something with them. Most of my jars came from buying marinara and alfredo sauce, some held fruit, and two of them actually came from Joe’s Crab Shack surprisingly enough (their sangria comes in mason jars and when you are finished you are allowed to take the jars home!) I was also really excited to find two tiny jars that had once contained garlic, but sadly one of them was too tiny to use.

So if you haven’t figured it out yet, I went with option #3 which strangely enough I actually pinned from $herdog of Younghouselove. I decided that the olive oil portion of the project wasn’t for me, or “out of the picture” if you will, especially since I move pictures around frequently, and I’m highly clumsy.

Shannon + 6 Mason Jars of Extra Virgin Olive Oil + 2 Left Feet = 1 Way Ticket to an Oily Mess

This was such an easy pinterest challenge but it gave me an extreme amount joy to put together. Last night I ordered some photos from the 1 hour Wal-Mart photo center, journeyed home, spent 30 minutes removing extra labels off of my jars with the help of some goo-gone, and stuck the photos in the jars. I played around for a while with which pictures were to go inside which jars, and I only had to crop one picture to fit the jar that once contained an absurd amount of garlic. And voila! Instant Mason Jar Gallery Goodness!

Here’s close up of one of my favorites, we took that picture last month at a friend’s wedding.

The best part is if I get tired of this gallery I can simply take out the pictures and use the mason jars in another way or change-up the pictures. Feel free to leave a link to your pinterest project in the comments section!
